Love this and your mindset and reasoning (I'm a YC founder myself)! I'm also looking into expense tracking, been using google sheets for the last 6 months where I'd log every expense and label it -> the next step would be to do some clustering/charts/analysis. Looking forward what you come up with!
I am building my own design at pintube.com so that I can live in it. If world start to live and believe in it, we will become a product. Build it anyway, there a greatest sense of learning and achievement in executions.
